Get to know the essential tools and processes of working on jewelry and small metal art forms in this 3 hour workshop! We'll get to know different types of metal and dive right in to using hand tools, small machinery, and the aceylene-air soldering torch to finish a set of sample pieces.
As you keep developing your skills, you'll find yourself free from buying run-of-the-mill parts and working on great 1-of-a-kind designs! Class is kept small with the intent of giving you the most hands-on time with tools + materials as well as maximum 1:1 time for questions and guidance.
Tools + Skills
sheet metal shear, jeweler's saw and bench pin, needle files, sanding discs, drill press and drill bits, flexible shaft, texturing hammers, chasing tools, pliers, wire cutters, air-acetylene torch, pickling solution, polishing wheel, bench grinder, belt sander
Materials and the Smith Tool Kit fees are included and covers class time rental of 1 individual tool kit along with all metal and consumable materials necessary for class.
